  MISSION STATEMENT
 Assist student achievement through nutrition
OUR VISION
  Quality – Service - Accountability
The Nutrition Services Department is guided by three core values:
1.  We will provide a quality dining experience with a variety of nutritious options. Each menu item will be properly prepared and served in an appealing fashion. All menu items will be evaluated for nutritional content, taste, customer preference, regulatory compliance and financial affordability.
2.  Customer service will be a priority at all of our facilities. Everyone will be greeted with a smile and treated with respect.
3.  Accountability will be demonstrated by:
Our stakeholders include students, parents, employees, school staff, and taxpayers. These stakeholders deserve a quality nutrition services experience with excellent service that maintains accountability. We will deliver that experience.

Our Mission

The primary mission of the G-PISD Food & Nutrition Department is to assist student achievement through nutrition.

We believe all students should have access to meals that will furnish the nourishment required for optimal growth, development, and academic success.

We believe open lines of communication should be maintained between Food and Nutrition Services, students, parents, staff, and community.

We believe financial responsibility should continue to be practiced by Food and Nutrition Services.

We believe Food and Nutrition Services should provide and support professional training opportunities in order to maintain a well-trained, highly motivated staff.

We believe in providing a fun and exciting, safe and secure environment in modern, well-maintained facilities.

We believe all decisions should be based on the best interest of the students of our district.

We believe G-PISD Food and Nutrition Services is one of the top programs in the state of Texas.
